Hall of Fame - Hammers Edition

  • unfortunately, those hammers don't mean much, some of them were on abused servers and some of them were on local servers that have much less players than com servers which means less action in whole game round.

P.S.: Also, speed servers' hammers mean nothing imo, no offense :)

Take the time to appreciate a good player sometimes :) Building those hammers requires a LOT of experience, dedication , activity , team work and Time. Some of the hammers above have come REALLY close to the theoretically highest possible numbers.

And sometimes, winning in a normal speed server with a lot of experienced players against noobs with really low activity means nothing imo, no offense

The Bolton sends his regards

  • Nice Thread!!!
I think major battle reports, biggest army in deff/off should be include in Hall of Fame by developer.

But one thing, as far i know , for roman hammers EI count as 3 crops and EC count as 4 crops.

As it the hammer of PsYcORabB.iT should be count as 197,719.
And the my hammer should be count as 245,451

  • Hello Imran, thanks for writing.
I counted all Roman hammers with the crop reduction granted by Horse Drinking Trough, because it's one of the fundamental feature of Romans and it's not fair comparing them with others tribes that eat much more when you don't have to actually feed them.
This is my opinion, but if many player disagree it will not be a problem to change evaluation system :)

Surely with hammers it's the amount of offence that counts. On that basis the EIs are probably worth approx 2.5 crop and the ECs 3.5. They are both stronger than corresponding 2 crop and 3 crop units, but not so much as to be worth a full extra crop.

Of course this would make calculation more difficult...

If you say how much you need to feed your troops, I agree with you.
But, I saw maximum people count without HDT. Probably it is a unwritten rules to count roman army.
Besides, counting without HDT make comparison with other hammer easier.
    as .........

Additionally, imperian should count 1.75 compare with club. But overall it makes fair, cavarly worth less than a full extra crop but imprian worth more than a crop.
May be best way is to count by troops power, but its hard to count that way.

  • Historically on Travian Legend only crop consumption (and not attack power) and Roman with HDT was used for comparing army. Because it's more fast that way to post reports and comments.

Remember that here in this topic every tribes is a unique category, the only required metod for comparing army in the same tribe is consistency. If you use HDT for all Roman armies, that's a logical right metod, same if you not use HDT for all the Roman reports. We are not comparing army of different tribes. Yes, attack power ipotetically is the best method, but it's time consuming calculating it.

Not using HDT is like ignoring the huge advantage that gauls have at the server beginning with traps and the huge advantage teuton gets with Brewery. That's just not fair in my opinion.

With that logic my ww has only half the troops in there because of the halved consumption :D It's way more logical to use the consumption it states in the stable. Also roman troops do not guarantee there's a HDT (on WW-hammers it's pretty likely but with just talking about roman horses in general, it's pretty likely there isn't one). Also i don't see what kind of fairness we need on stating a hammers crop consumption, i just think the original consumption reflects roman hammers strength better when compared to the other hammers.

  • Yes, attack power ipotetically is the best method, but it's time consuming calculating it.

I'm actually struggling to understand why it's more time consuming than calculating crop. And neither take more than a few seconds.

The world moves on. The question is what is the most accurate method, and clearly attack power is much more accurate in determining the biggest hammer.

  • We are not talking about troops numbers. If you have 1M troops you have it everywhere, but that 1M consumption can vary depending of where the troops are located, for example.

The point is that one of the method for comparing hammer is crop consumption and EC consume 3, not 4. If you don't build HDT you are not using the full potential of Romans, that's your fault, just like a gaul that don't use traps or a teuton that doesn't use Brewery. The vast majority of Roman players use HDT for hammers. If you state that a roman hammer consume the same amount of crop of a Teuton or a Gauls without HDT you are lying. At the end of the day you need less crop (usually) as a Roman and that means less gold and less time involved playing. And this is why is not fair for others tribes players :)

  • @Thorsson I agree with you, and of course you can help calculating the attack power of all the hammer previously posted, brewery bonus included for teutons and with all the troops upped to lv 20.
If you want to be precise you also need to calculate hero bonus items and ask for screen of the hero to all hammers poster to confirm the bonus gained from the hero boost :)

Brewery bonus attacking a World Wonder? Good luck with that.

We were talking about the power of the hammer, not the hero, his weapon or even whether it was siege rather than attack, not to mention what level the defender's wall was or whether there was a ditch (etc). Anyway, those also apply to the crop metric.

It's simply that attack power (or defence in the case of an anvil) is a better measure than crop usage. Surely that should be visible even to a blind man?

  • No Gauls section in Normal Speed Servers?
    Better add this then :D
    RottTizz - Governor - COM2

Also, i want to say one more thing:
Developers, please delete caps/limits on Outgoing Raids!!!!!
    #MakeRaidsGreatAgain

The post was edited 1 time, last by Rottermeier#IT: wrong image, needed to say one more thing ().
