Simulation is wrong

  • Server: COM2
Attacking empty roman village (lvl 10 residency, lvl 5 wall) with 80 equites imperatoris.
    Simulation result: 0 losses
    Actual result: 1 unit lost.
Same stuff happened lots of times for hero hp loss calculations.
Feels like wall defense is simulated wrong

  • Hello @LaserSaysPew#EN
is the defending side with much less population then you? If yes, that might explain it - there is a moral bonus for smaller defenders which is applied to the battles. You can see it's effect by playing with the population numbers in the simulator

  • Hello Joa

unfortunately we are not sharing details regarding the moral bonus but if you enter both accounts' population properly in the combat simulator, you should be able to get very accurate results.

  • It's actually a malus, not a bonus. If the attacker has more population than the defender, it's troops fight less strongly. (If the attacker is smaller neither side gets a bonus or malus). It takes into account the population's ratio and is capped at 33.34% malus of the attacker (which means, his troops are at worst 66.66% effective). You can validate both of these facts easily by playing around with the combat simulator (which yields indeed 100% accurate result, if everything is entered correctly). It's maximum disadvantage is reached, if the attacker has 7.6x of the defender's population (for instance 7,600 vs 1,000 populations) - easily verifyable aswell.

Edit: Worth to mention: Catapulting and lowering loyalty is affected by moral malus aswell, but with slightly different formula and mechanics.
