A guide for a interesting start

  • Heres a strategy:

    1.Start as gaul king
2.Make your focus on building crop fields and no res fields in spawn
3.Prepare to settle next village ASAP (with the town hall quest) right next to first one
    4. Both villages should have some basic infrastructure like few lvls of marketplace(balancing res between villages and keep trade route from second village to first with all res earned) and lvl3 or higher if like barracks (both village making phals fills oasis quite quicly)
    5. claim oasises with both villages and try filling with phalas ASAP (good if first village has 50% crop like I got luckily,,second village wood and crop--wood you can easily trade for iron if not clay too and sometimes with earning from trades since wood is most asked for)
    6. Build all crop fields to lvl 10 in spawn so you are still under BP ..WH 14,Granary 20, grain mill5, bakery some lvls too

Being king is good for tribute if lucky with governors and no need to focus on off troops yet since no robbers
stay under bp until enough troops to come out safely and develop rest fields then
Luckily I got mercenary helm and gladiator helm with quest so I sold them for sum 10k silver so I had no problem with gold

Think of a strategy to take from that point on
Im thinking that its a reasonable way to just take villages for the idea of developing only one res with corresponding oasis so like 5iron village with lvl1 clay and wood ..crop is good. This way you make more bang for the buck and will get to optimal total income faster since all the specialized production bonus (dont develop fields that have no oasis bonus is the basic idea of this)

At the moment im on speed server ..only 1 crop field at 10 this point , but my crop income is about 5k..estimating when all oasis full and fields at 10 or above, my income is at least 8-10k while still under BP

  • Interesting start maybe. But i would not recommend it. Equal(~) levels on all fields is most optimal (start with the field you have oase bonus on).
Your way will fall behind. Sooner or later you will have to lose that BP anyways and when you do, everyone around you will be way stronger. You would make the optimal farm for neighbours by then.

How many days did it take you to reach one crop field at 10? I would not be suprised if those following the quests and keeping their fields equal would basically have one of each resource type at 10 by then.

I am not saying this "start strategy" would not work. It all depends on your neighbours. But i would bet that a normal start is prefered.

other village has 1kcrop and 1kwood income too

doesnt feel like im behind, but well ahead of others that havent raided

  • conclusion

Iwas able to grow res production to 15k/h with few days after BP..with that addition to that massive crop income

so my main goal was to neutralize that crazy crop overflow with producing troops constantly..im now at day 14 and 3k swords, 1k TT, 300 rams and 100 cats ..still around 3k+ crop production

  • might be..but at the stage I am, my income is enough to keep all troops building constantly and its just that I arrive to this point faster since I can concentrate on building one field type in one village and another type in another village
