Questions and Answers about the domain merge

There is such thing as good and bad players when playing 'a game'. If you are getting robbed to death, then maybe you lie in one of those 2 categories. I will let you guess which one :)
A good player will make someone attacking them not worth their time/resources. But this game also involves a lot of diplomacy, which you clearly lack

  • Looks like the biggest problem there is polish domain question... =)

But you guys have more players in 1 kingdom at international (COM) server then in whole PL domain, so whats the problem.. You already have your community, and its great! You wanna play this kingdom version against your relatives in native server or what?

If there would be more people in international servers, this game would be much more interesting, I think you do agree with this conclusion too, I do remember those times when "native" servers had over 10k players (not in kingdom version), not even talking about international ones, it was crazy and very interesting, too bad but this game is dying, something has to be done to make it last for some more time =)

that they remove Polish servers - we understand. and from com servers remove Polish language and support / it's racism

    3. Brak domen narodowych.
    4. Brak serwerów nocnej ochrony.
    5. Możliwość ustawienia flagi w profilu awatara niezależnie od używanej wersji językowej.
    6. Możliwość wgrania własnej grafiki awatara niezależnie od wyglądu bohatera.
    7. Podczas przerw konserwacyjnych wojsko nie powinno umierać.

    PS

PL Jeżeli osoby nieanglojęzyczne mają sobie tłumaczyć teksty programami np. google translatorem, to mój wpis też można przetłumaczyć programem. 8o

EN If non-English speakers are to translate texts using programs such as Google translator, then my entry can also be translated with the program.

  • Brak serwerów nocnej ochrony.
Możliwość ustawienia flagi w profilu awatara niezależnie od używanej wersji językowej.
Możliwość wgrania własnej grafiki awatara niezależnie od wyglądu bohatera.
Podczas przerw konserwacyjnych wojsko nie powinno umierać.

How are those related to the topic?! ^^

I mean, yes, night truce sucks, exposing your nationality exposes your likely online times and starving troops during maintenace sucks too, but I don't see any relation.

I'd welcome the decision to keep the language options happily, I get it, that TG wants to support languages fully, if they offer them, but obviously it's not what the community wants. Maybe they'll rethink about that.

Btw, there's a difference between forums and helpcenter. Here you communicate with many, if 40 people read this, 30 of them have to translate it, 20 of them are too lazy and care too less about what you write. You could (if you don't speak english) do it once, removing the need for 30 others and reaching 20 more people with your message. ^^

Yes, but I'm afraid that this goal will not be achieved. Many people play on COM because they also play on the local gw, and on com they can more easily find someone from their country. IMHO about 30% of players from closed domains will leave the game completely. I do not know the language, not wanting to waste time on GT will choose the easiest way - they will stop playing. They played because they could easily speak in their own language and meet other people from their country. He will not be there, so they will not have anything to look for. Subsequent players will follow them because their friends were among them. As we know, it's best to play with friends. When they are missing, it is no longer a game. Then there is only vegetation - being only for being. No language (no chat in a given language and no possibility to find someone after the flag in profile) will prevent effective contact with players from the same country, which excludes them from further play. As a result, it may turn out that only few players from closed domains will play on COM, which is the same as before entering the flags in the profile and the list of friends in the lobby. How it will be? We'll see soon.

  • If I'm not mistaken, you will have language specific chatrooms on com servers for the domains that will be taken offline.

We made it easier for you to find other players who speak your language for COM rounds with the language-specific chat rooms. You are allowed, and indeed encouraged, to talk in your own language there. However, please add an English comment when reporting a message. Please join our farewell game round.

But from the context of the quote I'm not sure wether this counts for every future com round or only for com7.

  • It's so silly the outrage here. There is no need to behave in such a poor maner. This is a smart decision as servers that has so few players needs to be closed. It is not a viable strategy keeping them open. Just take off your outrage googles for a while and see this fact.

As for the gold you have won in prices or such it is obvious that the Travian Team is trying to make everyone happy and move everything for you. Don't be a spoiled toxic brat and complain when people are obviously trying to help and make the best that they can.

  • If You are not a member of nation who will loose server than You have no moral right to take part in discussion. Dont troll me in another topic leax. People are mad and raged... please try at last to understand it. And as it was told several times already... we are not mad becous some financial problems forced Team to delete servers but we are mad mostly cuz they plan to remove polish translation. It is not only problem of Poles. Take Your time and check other national forum boards. All are angry.

You clearly have no clue how many times I am mentioned in the Hall of Fame of the last comx rounds. I have all the right in the world to give feedback like this. The problem of travian is: the devs and cm's dont understand their own game.

  • It's quite simple. TK want's to accommodate the paying customers and the less crowded servers don't contain that much paying customers.

This is simply because on less crowded servers, you don't have to buy gold to keep up with the rest of the players to be able to acquire croppers.

On the COM servers and the very crowded servers, you'll have to. Otherwise you'll be outrun for the race to the croppers by the ones who do buy gold.

What TK forgets or refuses to see is that the more casual players, who are now more likely not to play anymore, are necessary assets on each server.

They eventually often become the farms for the bigger paying players. Each server needs those casual players to maintain the farming needs of the paying players.

I myself play those COM servers regularly and often become a farm myself. I don't mind, I use those servers for experimenting and learning.

The smaller servers allow me to play and have fun and I even occasionally buy gold if things go well. This in turn draws me back to the bigger servers to try to compete.

However, if I never can really compete in a game (also because there are large groups of players always playing together on these servers) , I probably won't play at all.

  • If You are not a member of nation who will loose server than You have no moral right to take part in discussion.

Haha, what? Of course I can have a opinion either way. You cannot silence people just because they do not agree with you. And for your information they are shutting down my nations servers. At least try to think about your arguments before you attack. I seriously in this thread have only seen complaints from you and your guys and nothing else. How about trying to be constructive for once?

"I will quit the game if you do this". Yeah super useful for the Travian Team.

What you do not seem to understand is that they have absolutely nothing to gain from making the community angry. But how are you supposed to deal with these childish ultimatums, how do they better anything?

They obviously want to do this the best way possible and will try to see that as many people as possible will be happy in the end. If you look at it from the other side there has been so many vocal players saying that there are to many servers and hoping they will narrow it down. So in many ways this is the Travian Team listening to the community.

And I also see people saying accommodate the casual players,

Travian is a business not something ran for charity. In the long run do you actually think that it is worth it keeping a slowly declining player base that are on the national servers for a business? Especially if it pays nothing for the company? Jesus, please grow up.

Especially while I would suggest that half the national players play on a COM server already and keep a account for fun on their nations server. Effectively making the real player base much much smaller.

    As for langue support,

I agree with players saying that they would like to use their preferences in this area. However you are making a hen out of a feather, work with the Travian Team and express it in a reasonable manner and I am sure the response you get is much more reasonable back.

  • leax , you're right for the most part. It probably is the most sensible thing to do from a business perspective.

I just expressed my feelings about it and TK can do what ever they want with it.

I, speaking for myself, did not issue an ultimatum, just a mere fact.

I don't like most of the overcrowded COM servers and I don't want to play on most of them.

So when I finish the 4 servers i play right now, I'll probably will quit this game entirely and go looking for another pastime.

And yes, everybody is free to express their opinion.

  • Crowded servers 8| I miss the days when there were 10-20k people on a server :(

maybe i should see what classic looks like again.
