Game world time

  • Why has the game / server time changed ("Game world time") with the change of local time in most countries from winter to summer? GT should be unchangeable and does not have to be the same as German time (CET). It interferes with, among others calculations of army forces, construction time. With an unchangeable GT there is no problem because time does not jump by 1 hour. After all, it's time to dial the time: local, GT, UTC.

This is why our team has used UTC time for 2 years now, that never changes :)

  • Well, the servers are located in germany, so it does only make sense to use germany's timezone when having selected "game world time". And since the timezone changes 2x a year (whyever it still does in 2019), the game world timezone changes aswell. If you don't want that, you can select "UTC time" (or something similar) and selecting the UTC timezone, in which you want to see the time (current timezone for central europe would be UTC+2).

A little side note though: CET is the central european time. It doesn't change at all, when switching daylight saving on/off. Germany (and several other countries) just change their official timezone 2x a year, in summer they have CEST (central european summer time), in winter CET. Both are constant.
