limits on sending ressources

  • Dear Travian Developers,

Many Players, including me, feel that the restrictments on how much of any given ressource can be send to another Player before he has to send something back are too low and intransparent.

Specially in the later gamestages huge amounts of ressources, bigger than the restrictments allow, have to be send in order to properly play and enjoy Travian.

We ask to increase the limitations on ressource sending.

  • I agree!

In the beginning of a world it is perfectly reasonable to disable the push of singular players, but after like 30 days, the restrictments are too tigh in my opinion. I would appreciate a widening of the ressource-sending restrictments in general, by a huge lot (for example 300%).

    Thanks,

  • What do you need a higher restriction for? Especially late game you can support other players with ease by feeding their troops in your capital for instance.

Also, it's not very intransparent, if the logs from the past 72 hours show, that you sent more than X resources more than vice versa, you can't send anymore. X depends on your hourly production and your connection type (same kingdom / same ip / sitting / same pc / no connection).

I am, for example, a duke and a sitter of the king. Often, i cannot send her ressources before she sent me something. We could trade our standing defenses so we can feed each others troops, but that would keep us from being able to support our governors when they get attacked (at least, it would make everything more complicated).

I also convinced multiple family members to play this game and everyone has logged in from every pc we have by now. We hit these limits all the time; if we knew that we should never switch PCs or log in from another PC of a person we visit because that lowers the amount of ressources we can exchange, we would not have shared our PCs.

Another thing: I originally wanted to play a ressource-support-player. This type of player cannot exist at all - i think a ressource-pusher could be a legit strategy for attackers who would get support for their troops.

Thank you for your answer though, Be2-e4 :)

Where did you get that information?

Why restrict me from sending my surplus ressources to my allies?

have other players units at my villages would in the event of an attack somewhere else require them to draw the troops back and deploy them again. This process is very time consuming and hinders you from succesfully defending your Kingdom. I´m not only talking about crops though. I´d like to t´send the other ressources to my allies too so they can build new villages faster or accumulate larger armies. this isn´t possible if they have to supply me with a roughly equal amount of ressources.

  • Where did you get that information?

HelpCenter Knowledge Database + some testing

Why restrict me from sending my surplus ressources to my allies?

Because you're not supposed to be a resource source for other players, but to invest the resources into your own account, infrastructure and troops.

I believe, the origin of the restriction is making the life for multiaccounts harder, by the way.

  • Yep same problem here... Couldn't even join the push to send resources to the player who is sitting me, because I am his sitter too. We did not exchange a single resource before that and still had some odd limit which kept us from sending any resources towards each other. Limit should be way higher then it is right now.

  • To me it is obvious that the restrictions are in place to prevent players setting up dummy accounts as feeders for their main account.

It hampers the teamplayers, but if they would lift the restriction, the alternative would be far worse.

This restriction can be easily overcome my multi-accounter. He can just farm his dummy accounts.

So is there any evidence that resource-push restriction lowered the number of multiacc abuses?

  • Noobs that want to cheat and/or abuse other players, ask for elimination of restrictions ^^

How do I know you are noobs? Because you don't know that restrictions affect same PC raids too

  • So according to iCnut, testing out ways to cheat makes you less of a noob..Go on now boys, get on it!

About the restrictions issue...i´ve had that annoyance, when trying to use up and send away res before incoming raid. But theres always other players to send those resources.

    //-_-/ -_-/ -_-/- - (:?l) - -/-_- /-_- /-_-//

:/wether to game or to get gamed;)

    :)There lies the question:S

    -. ... .. .. ?.!.?:!::?::!:?.!.?. .. .. ... .-

  • Yeah, better not interfer with cheaters at all and let them do everything they want to cheat without any obstacle at all. >_>

Like I said, there is no legitimate way to be restricted by that significantly while playing the way it is intended. You are supposed to play for your own and not to play as an additional farm for another player.

Oh and by the way, those pushing restrictions used to be gamerules and you could be banned for sending too much resources to another player. Be thankful, that there's an automatic limitation now.

  • It is not nice to be called a cheater and a noob when making a suggestion.

So there are more people against being able to support each other than i thought. Is anyone of you a developer? I would like to hear their opinion on this.

    Keep it friendly :)
