October worlds

    Hey guys,

we hear you and even though I can't promise anything, your feedback has been communicated to the responsible people :) I assure you it will be considered and will let you know as soon as I have more updates.

    Kind regards

    Georgi

Seems hard to believe, I have read that phrase way too many times, but whatever ^^

  • is this is travians strategy to move to speed servers only?

Unfortunately this seems to be the way its going, quicker for them to churn out ,more NPCing so more gold spent.

So now as sad as is it if this is the path they are going down it looks like it might be time to look for a new game to spend my money on.

  • As always travian kingdom team just don't care about his community, you have players for start a com server and you have an assured income of golds but simply you don't want to do it, you could have also decided to anticipate the server planned for the 27th of october instead of release a new one and in that way you would have found a compromise, but again, dunno for which absurd reason you just ignore your community.

As I already said I have read that phrase way too many times, but is just a mockery. I could understand if there was a reason behind your refusal, but I can't find any.

Your only luck is that this game is pretty unique, otherwise you would have already lost the few players you have.

Every time I just get more disappointed.....

  • We have big team waiting for a new COM normal server and it seems unbelievable that you are delaying start until 27 October- please please please- pretty please- go back again to the developers and kick their butts :))

Europe/World will all be in Covid lockdown again soon the way the virus is progressing we need a new COM server early October

  • Hey again,

we do care and listen, however it's not always possible to change last minute the plans that have been in preparation for months before that. I wouldn't draw such harsh conclusions from a single case as both previous game world requests were granted and we managed to launch the requested game worlds earlier than previously planned. I'm sorry we couldn't this time.

Regarding the transition to speed game worlds - there's no such thing, we will continue running both normal and 3x speed game worlds, as well as some specials such as the Halloween Hunt game rounds.

    Kind regards
    Georgi

why are you planning and not interested in the opinion of the community?

could create a survey for players x1 and players x3, before planning

  • Georgi
In my opinion the best way (from both sides, community and management) could be set standard dates for the new servers, instead of planning them randomly and entering in this kind of fights.

I understand that this may not be possible for region servers but for the international ones, which are the most played, I really see no problems.

In that way every player/kingdom could plan his start disregarding the period of the year and everyone will be happy to play.

  • Delaying launch for a server your customers are begging for? Wow. This makes no sense no matter how you look at it. Especially from a business perspective.

    • 5 large kingdoms intend to participate in the next com; We are probably talking about thousands of players currently waiting to join the next com;
    • Hundreds of players plan to buy gold on the next com; why on earth would they delay selling more gold?
    • Normal speed players will not play on the special x5 servers. Speed players will start com1x3 on 22, some of these will play the x5 too. So, they have lots of choice, one x3 and 2 x5.
    • Where will normal speed players go for the next month and a half?
    • Bandwith is cheap now, same as server colocation. A full server like this would easily break even, even if they needed to expand their capacity, so I don't think this is about technical limitations.

Making your customers angry is an interesting marketing approach.

  • You all know the reason. Katana explained it best, per se:

Speed players will start com1x3 on 22, some of these will play the x5 too. So, they have lots of choice, one x3 and 2 x5.

Considering competitive speed server players, in general, are required to purchase more gold then normal speed ones, this is a good amount of income for TG cramped up in a small timeframe. And the best of all, some of normal speed players will try these special servers (out of boredoom or just curious), some might even buy gold, it's just win-win for TG. And despite being pushed back, you all 'angry' folks will still wait for that normal speed com and going to start on it, be it a month from now, or two. Why? Because there is no other browser game like Travian, despite the poor state it is in now.

This schedule is doing of a clever manager who knows how to pull out the most $ out of a product. While highly unpopular, it is a good business decision to keep the game afloat and still make some profit out of it.

And lets not bash on Georgi.. He's pretty much the last person glued to TK and is trying his best to put out all the flames (and whatever else needed) which are only getting worse by the day since TG abandoned TK some time ago. Am not defending anyone, but he probably helped most of you in some way, be it through help center or direct contact, same as he did for me, most people probably don't even know it. Last two years have been nothing but constant bombardment and flame hazards here on forums, takes a lot of a person to remain their 'cool' for so long.
