I wish harsher punishments for MAing/botting + some game rule clarifications

  • Pilgerfuchs I assure you that gold has nothing to do with this issue.

kicke there are internal procedures that sometimes we cannot talk about openly.

But I can assure you that we are working on improving this issues as well as not only finding temporary fixes, but more permanent ones that will really help going forwards.

In the mean time your opinions will still be mentioned and heard by the team.

Instead of promoting new features it could be a good idea to actually discuss the #1 issue in the game.

Perhaps i should dive into my archives and start exposing numerous people and how they play.

Perhaps lists of banned accounts so far on current rounds and previous rounds.

Perhaps name some players that use multies/multi farms every single round and get away with it because the penalty for it is a JOKE.

  • Give us verified accounts with an authenticator.

Make us use the authenticator if we login from different IP's

Make us use the authenticator after 7 days on the same IP

Verified accounts dont have to do random captcha's (yes it's 2022 and we still use this)

Give verified accounts 20 gold each week in lobby

Three strikes and you're out of your account; deletion.

Nobody likes these features, I hate them, but if it's needed to stop the abundant cheating and multifest. Yes, it's necesary.

  • It is difficult to answer something you would accept because many of the things done in the background we just cannot speak about.

Some because of GDPR, some because of not giving hints or ideas of how we do things to the ones looking for the loop holes in the system.

I can only say that your comments, all of them, are not falling in deaf ears, we are working on real solutions and I hope that soon you will see the result of all the team's work in the background.

But that is all I can say really...

So I will be patient, understand your concerns, shared by all I must say, including the team, and just hope that when the work we do starts to permeate you will be able to see it and, hopefully, see that the wait was worth it in the end.

  • Just changing your punishment policy would do for now. You can literally just decide to do it, nothing to do with GDPR. But you decide not to do it. Not the first time you have been told this.

  • I can assure you that we don't.

We already identify some ways some game mechanism were abused and changed those (just as an example recent Menhir feature change), as we are trying to not only look at punishments, but at changes we can do to improve the situation for everyone, nut just relying on catching cheating, but making it more difficult.

We will keep working on it, may be not as fast as you wish, but we will get there for sure.

I have question for you. Simple one at that. Imagine you are a little boy and you steal cookies from the jar. You know that you ain't allowed to do that by your parents rules but you still do it because the worse punishment is being sent to the room. So lets imagine same scenario but different punishment, for example - one week without pc or phone or so. So question would be - would you still do it if punishment becomes so harsh that some simple cookies is not worth it anymore?. By that i mean if punishments were more harsh they wouldn't be multing because it would simply would be better to play by rules and not to multi, gain major profit and "suffer" unimaginable punishment - "Oh no 10 proc pop".

Edit: Another thing - game is game but it won't be same without players right? - so put out vote for all the community or so which has at least a bit of prestige (ppl who played not multis) and lets us vote if we want harsher punishments for multi-accounts or not? Let us decide if you can't do what community wants.

What prevents multi users to make forum multies and vote "no" for harsher punishments?

which has at least a bit of prestige. Read up what i wrote. Prestige you get by playing game. Make it so that you won't be able to vote if you didn't atleast complete two or so game worlds etc. Or atleast 3 gold stars etc, a lot of ways to do it.

  • RulerUžupis#EN I understand what you want to convey, and I agree with it.

I can only say that it is work in progress. Please, be patient with us.

Eventually you will see the results.

I understand the voting option, but I don't think it is needed, I really believe we are all in the same page regarding this issue.

It is just that may be, understandably, our patience is running thin... but I do believe the end result will be good once things develop and reach their desired outcome.

  • I post about this in a thread in the test section but will pass my thoughts on here as well.

If a player is found to be multi-accounting, then they should be removed from the server.

They have already displayed they will not follow the rules and multi-accounts is a major rule

If that player has had at least 3 convictions for the same rule breaking then completely ban the account(lobby) from Travian lands forever.

If it is hard to stop them, just keep banning them. It will end eventually.

You just need to be consistent on giving and enforcing the bans.

We as players also need to remember that just because we assume a player is cheating, does not mean that they actually are.

That means we must accept the fact that we are not right all the time. :|
