Robbers camps

  • The problem is you cant evaluate the camps properly as royalty. No clue how you can evaluate camps who already have been cleared. Using hero would be the best solution and - imo - not hard to implement.. I mean the code should be somewhere in the game.. you can also only pick up treasuries from treasury's with hero..

  • It's been a long time since I heard a stupider thing in this game. I see we have a bunch of people here who come into play several times a day and then cry that their camps have missed. Therefore, they come up with some sick ideas with the attack of the hero, etc.

    When you attack your robber hideout, do you need a hero to take out the treasures? No. Why should you also need it on camps? What if someone resurrects a hero? What if his hero attacks other targets? You will get to play simcity, do nothing and just wait with the hero at camps.

    Camps are a bonus for the most active players. They are in the game, they have camps and they can attack them without a hero :D I don't know what this is. Maybe let's make records? Mr. rafal is taking camp number 7 and waves number 1 XD


    Ehh. Funny. You try to change things that are okay, and then you wonder if players run away from this game because it gets boring. Not everyone likes building houses and doing nothing for 150 days x1 server.

    Take care of more serious conversations like gray villages that block the field for 21 days, or crops that are occupied by multi-accounts and hang the entire server for 9 pop. Greetings to the Russian kingdoms from com3. They are masters in it;)

    The attack color of the robbers' hideout. Error.

    Each kingdom decides what it does with the camps. Can anyone attack them at will, by attacking, raiding, or by siege xd. With or without a hero. Freedom. Each kingdom has a different strategy. Some are better, others are worse.


    You move things that don't disturb anyone else in the game. And if they disturb, players who come to the game twice a day and then cry that they missed their camps and they cannot develop ;) Such players do not prove the strength of the game on travian kingdoms. They have too little experience ;)


    Imagine 30 camps in a large kingdom on a x1 server with the rule that you can only take treasures with a hero. You can only attack 1 camp at a time. After all, it would take two days to clean such camps :D


    I am not alone with this opinion. I just spoke to important players in the kingdom of ILOVEPL and they all share the same opinion. That weak players do not get hold of and cry because they cannot attack the camps because they are not very active.

  • pfff it is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe we do no fake attacks as well attack just with Hero..

    Camps are for Ally kingdom you cant resolve problem between members of kingdom and try to do with stupid idea and change a game.

    I agree, but kingdoms would need tools to enforce the rules they lay out for the players, ie logs for the camps or something like that.

    Most of the weak players who cannot cope and cannot collect stolen goods from camps ;) And as we know, weak players are the vast majority of travian kingdoms.


    You weren't so outspoken on FRx3. How did my players from Henessy's kingdom clean you ;) You probably remember Captain Bomba? Greets you. I'm just talking to him;)

  • There is already enough drama (popcorn time) spent in the chats on this issue!

    This would eliminate this major complaint about:

    Couldn't see it~ on the phone. Oh, I didn't know that. More time of leaderships not having to enforce another set of rules.

    Long travel time then returns empty. Low troop count/survival because of getting as many camps as possible.

    Fix/change would:

    A lock-on attack mode for camps with hero + troops.

    Everyone benefits, learning travel time, planning strategies, managing troop losses vs. troop survival

    Camps would last longer allowing sleepers and workers to grow. Not all players have a sitter and they can only raid anyway!.

    New players would get a chance to collect T's, especially Def-only players.

    Experienced players would learn to use all the tools available for better planning of troop build, consumption, and planning.

    More heroes gaining points. Might change the ranking, which is a great motivation and morale builder to keep more players interested

    and stop the petty whining and bad feelings that are happening in all kingdoms on every server.

    Kingdoms' still benefit from T gains and are spread out more evenly within their borders.


    Another lock would be nice, is that once all attacks have been sent and the quota is filled, no one else can send attacks to that camp just to beat out someone because they are closer.

  • Sorry but this might be one of the worst changes in the game.

    This change mean that there will be no more treasures from robber camp for activ players and they are the ones who make the most usage from them.

    Heroes are to busiy to just send them to robbers camp so only those playeres who play simcity will benefit from that(if only they will know what to do with all that crop).

  • gauls would have somewhat of an advantage with that change in terms of attack speed and teutons look like turtles next to them without TK

  • If the above statement is true - wouldn't it make sense for Travian to appeal to the majority of their player base?

    And who is the main customer of this game? Weak players with 3-5 settlements on the server play without coins and cry that they can't get stolen goods from camps? Are the top 10% of players who spend 500 Euro per server and more?

    You are planning changes that will discourage people who maintain these servers :) Because they do not play simcity and do not log in twice a day, but are there all the time.

  • TLDR: Force attack only on robbers. Both free and premium players benefit from it.


    All bickering aside.

    Yes, the majority of players spend only a little bit. I was inclined to say nothing but then I might be counting too many multis.

    The majority of gold purchased comes from only a small percentage of players.

    Now I don't know the actual statistics but studies on "freemium" games/apps, hence called "platforms", seem to generally agree that the majority of income is derived from only a small portion of players/users.

    The platform is free so its easier to get people to participate in the premium features and persuade them into gradually buying more and more premium features.

    The platform is designed to represent a demo of what the premium features are and why you should want them. A bit like how a casino sells a "lifestyle", a feeling, rather than an opportunity to get rich. "If you come spend your money here you will feel like the elite." is a statement that could be translated into "If you buy gold you will know what it is like to truly be a pro Travian player.".


    It is about striking that balance between 2 steps:

    1. Get new players.

    2. Get paying players.


    This relies on 2 concepts:

    1. The game is fun enough to play without premium.

    2. The game is significantly more fun to play with premium.


    The hero only feature would indeed be a bit too restricting for the active players. This would make them feel like newbies are being protected and rewarded for passive play. It would benefit concept #1 but penalize concept #2 too much, pushing people to step 1.

    The biggest issue is that people raid robbers and then the robbers that survive are pushed to the next wave. This could simply be fixed by forcing attack only.

    This benefits both categories of players.


  • Therefore, many kingdoms decide for themselves whether it is allowed to raid or just attack camps. And in my opinion it is ok. Each kingdom will do its own thing.

  • The problem is that allowing raids is enabling bad sportsmanship.

    Games and sports should be designed to enforce good sportsmanship, and not rely on the participants to enforce it.

    This is your opinion. I don't share her. You can also send raids on hidden robbers and somehow don't protest to change it.
