How do you prefer starting a game round?

  • I always wondered what is the best way to start a round.

Is it as part of a team? Or is it best start solo and wing it, see where the wind takes you?

I have done mostly the later and just accept one of the offers I get from a Kingdom, any Kingdom I may not even know at all.

I found that the game round is different every time and I get to know different people that way. I kind of enjoy it more instead that just go through the mechanics of always the same team in the same way.

What do you prefer and why?

  • Thats the way I do it aswell...no strings attached and thanks to it I have played in many glorious kingdoms and met a lot of great players.

Being in a premade also means sometimes sacrificing your free will..the best fields go for the upper echelons of the team.

Plus being deep in friendly territory takes away some of the fun.

  • Start of the game is the time to check out global chats aswell!

I wish people used more of this feature, I feel a lot of people just dont notice it lot of the time..

  • Actually there is this bug that noone is making a fuss about, but sometimes global chats show the wrong name/avatar picture next to the post

  • I like to get myself into a new kingdom, gain their trust (lots of experience, battle skills and big gold spending etc) ,gain as much access and insight as possible and eventually get sitter rights to the duke(s) or even king that is low on time. The accounts with big number of troops are also a good sitting choice.

And then a few weeks in switch to all defense ,stack def troops untill max capacity and turn against my new team.If i'm sitting some players then send all their troops(off or deff) to raid me in small numbers(20x1000 troops for eg ) .That's some juicy cheap def points right there :D:D

Then i send an angry message complaining for the attacks.Usually they blame the other dual/sitter(one time they kicked and catapulted a sitter haha).Untill they figure it out i'm sometimes able to sit another poor soul who's short on time and do it again haha.

When the drama is over and they figure it out my lies and deception the fun part starts.I love a bunch of angry noobs sending their armies in an uncoordinated manner against my villages, with little to no faking at all.Slaughter, slaughter ,slaughter.

Since i cannot do that to preformed kingdoms it's usually a very weakly organized kingdom and usually i manage to kill their armies.Of course they finally adapt and train enough troops and manage to destroy me by sheer force but that takes a lot of time and it usually weakens them to the point of irrelevancy. Size doesnt matter, one time i was against the no. 3 kingdom and managed to resist untill 1 week before endgame :D:D

Anyway,i'm a good teacher. Those who go trough the ordeal against me become wiser in every aspect of the game .And i have fun!Win-win i would say.

  • I do not have much experience in Travian Kingdoms. But I prefer to have both a team and play with new people. A combination of both. Because you are sure of a series of issues with the team. And by playing with new people, you will get better experiences and the game will be more attractive.

In my opinion, playing only as a team or playing alone is either very boring or very unpredictable.

So in the end my opinion is a combination of both.

  • <Accord > ufff, a very dangerous tactic... yes, whoever survives will be a much better player... but I wonder if you can push some to leave the game and never try again, specially since they are noobs.

Interesting, never though of doing something like that... and I guess because of my personality I just could not do it.

I would feel for my new team and end up helping them as much as possible. :)
