Forum / In-game bans

  • You break rules in forum - you get banned 7 days - 1 month.
You break rules in game - you get banned for few hours and lose 10% buildings.

Maybe just apply forum ban lenght to the game? first offence - 7 days, 2nd offence - 1 month.

  • Dislike.

Trajectories aren't linear. Life's just a roller coaster. If you're getting a chance to do cool stuff, and it's varied stuff, just enjoy it. I guess I'm a believer in the randomness of life rather than it being a linear trajectory or an arc, a consistent smooth arc, towards anything.

This sounds like you guys are really bitter over Multis cheating.

You need to be able to 100% prove that people are breaking rules in game, which is pretty impossible. Forum rules shouldn't be a real thing, they're just here so community managers or whatever they're called will be able to silence us by censuring comments/screenshots etc. In no way should forum offences effect your account in game, even if you punish forum rule breaking.

What if someone admits using multies 🤔

  • I agree that infractions have to be penalised, but as well, players have to be educated.

the CSR has a difficult balance to aim for by not discouraging someone new that simply didn't know any better while ensuring repeat offenders are dealt with.

That is something we always talk about in the team and try very hard to keep on tuning the way we handle offences to try and make sure we make it as fair as possible.

Although we don't discuss punishments in the forum, I want to correct a comment, we don't ban 7 days for first offenders in the forum.

Each rule infraction has an amount of points, those points add up with time and when you reach a threshold, the forum automatically applies a temporary ban, depending on the amount of points.

There is as well a very high amount of points that could get you a permanent ban. But to get that you must be a very persistent offender.

Another thing that we try to do here in the forum, is always, in first offence, first warn, we prefere to talk with the player and ask to please change behaviour.

Please, do not discuss direct bans here or I would be force to close the thread.

But if it is in general terms, just giving suggestions on improvements, that, we always like to read. :)

Now, if you please allow me to give a personal opinion... I am no longer working as CSR in Kingdoms, but I did in the past... believe me... it is not easy... I admire our CSR in COM, the thoroughness she takes on each case... sometimes I have to ask for something from her, and the amount of detail she comes back to me with, is just amazing... I have deep respect for her and, based on what I have seen so far, I can asure you, there is a great advocate for clean gaming at the helm in the Help Center.

Come again ? I just came out of a 7 days ban because no apparent reason whatsoever !

I posted a in-game conversation where the player in question was ok with me sharing it and the post was disabled. I posted it again and got 7 days ban.

So 1 week later I'm here asking for answers and I have proof that the player allows me to share the conversation but wait... The proof is a conversation itself so will I get banned for posting the conversation that proves that I'm allowed to share the actual conversation print I want to share ?

One more thing is I was unable to read the reason/cause of the ban since the page kept reloading on its own so I got banned without an option to contest my ban. I could only see the duration due to stopping the page from refreshing but couldn't open any notification because infinite refresh and no permissions.

So its ridiculous you can get away with cheating in less than 24h which is the time Black Swan takes to reply and actual be locked away from the forum a whole week without the possibility to even see what caused the ban.

I understand that each and every player is your costumer but if you own a bar and you have this dude that always comes and spends a lot of money everyday but causes fights with everyone do you really think people wont get tired of having him in your bar and find another bar to chill/drink and have a good time on ?

Tbh cheating is not the only reason triangles are losing this EU BB edition since it was mentioned above. But the truth is you'll eventually run out of this "bully" rich costumers and the others looking for fair-play.

This has been a reason that has caused many controversy in the community and you know its damaging the game so yeah, hats are cool, I loved this BB editions ! I really did, thank you for an amazing server ! But either change the rules of the game and allow everyone to cheat or implement harder punishments like if you are caught cheating in one server freeze the entire account for 7 days. Lesson learned. And leave the current penalty system.

I know you can't request Citizen ID to register accounts (some would even put their pets playing) but my point is: make something that stops the cheating community of getting advantage over non cheating players. 1 week ban ? Yes please ! In every round he is playing whether he is cheating on those or not ! Also forum ban while we are at it. Why not ?

Does it really makes you a huge difference to remove all multi accounts from the game ? Will the servers be empty ? Is that what you fear ?

  • So what i gather (nothing new, just felt like pointing it out) : There is a super professional team consisting of 1~ person looking in DEPTH through all the banworthy accounts. Can tell you every ressource they ever spent on what. Account is 100% confirmed to be cheating (e.g. multis), has been on many servers and was punished previously. But the executive decision at the end is always: Hey. This person buys a lot of gold. Lets not ban. :)

  • VIOLENCE 59 you didn't have a 7 day ban for a single infraction.

You get the ban for the adding of points, so if the infraction has sufficient points added to previous infractions, and the total points go over the needed points for the 7 days ban, obviously you get the 7 days ban.

I gave this information since you came on public to talk about this, but, it is not the normal way to deal with this cases.

All ban cases are treated in private.

So please, if you have any further doubts write a PM, in the mean time I will close this thread since it has already gone beyond what the original idea of the thread was.
