50 Words of Winter

  • Dear players,

There's snow. But where does the icy weather come from? Why does it snow, and what will happen? Marcus, Wren, and the chieftain have open questions on their minds. The adventurer, however, knows some remarkable stories. A man of few words, he shares his tale in 50 words or less.

    Quote from Adventurer

Winter might come as a surprise, but I have experienced snow before. One time, I trekked with :elephant: over mountains. I couldn't see much due to a snowstorm, and then one of the big animals triggered an avalanche. The mountains turned out to be just hills, and we all survived.

Now it's your turn to slip into the role of the adventurer and tell a winter story.

    Criteria

    1. Limit your story to 50 words or less :!:
    2. Your story must have a beginning, a middle, and an end.
    3. Use at least one of the troop smilies (which counts as a word).
    4. Post the story as a reply to this thread.
    5. You can post up to three stories in separate posts.

Here's a link to a website that will help you count the words: WordCounter - Count Words & Correct Writing

Copying a story someone else already posted is, of course, not allowed. But if you want to continue or reference one, feel free to do so.

    Rewards

To have a chance of winning, you need to follow the five criteria mentioned above.

    • 1x 50 Gold voucher for the internal jury's favorite story.
    • 1x 50 Gold voucher for the participant who posted the story with the most reactions <3
    • We will raffle out 1x extra adventure among all entries.

If we hit more than 50 stories, we'll add some extra prizes!

Since the snow will last for a while, you can participate within the first two months of snow: from 1st December 2021 to 31st January 2022. Don't worry; the snow will last longer – at least in Travian Kingdoms.

    Happy writing and reading!

  • Little :scout: went downstairs to look what Santa had given him for Christmass. He found out he had gotten 50 free gold in his account to spend on anything he wanted. Little :scout: spend it gambling on the cardgame, because he was just 10 and couldn't gamble anywhere else.

  • December 52 BC, our loyal :legionnaire: stood aghast at the command. "Second wall?!"

In the deep of winter we would be camped between the pallisade and our new wall.

We have to find food in the cranny outside of the moat. And soon.

Or wouldn't survive the siege of Alesia

our :imperian: got their spirits lifted by our good :senator:

This is Rome we preclamaimed, we shall not fear.

    Here is to you :chieftain-gauls:

    Veni, Vidi, Vici

    End of 3 part story

  • Quote from Adventurer

  • Winter came to calm our souls. In its vastness the white fairy appeared, the one that appears every ten years. For it to provide you have to do what it says. Thus, the :druidrider: reached the petrified forest as she indicates. And they followed his invisible steps to receive the golden offering.

  • It was winter. We had gaul-falling into a new land of Travians. There were houses and fields and little people rushing to join the communal baths. There were a hoard of quests to chase down and gifts to collect while looking for elves and :tiger: . Then the cold woke me.

  • It is snowing

    The wind is blowing

    ...

That's lovely but 1 word too much. Maybe delete the word elephant in the last row.

Lovely story! But 2 words too many, please try to shorten it.

Nice one! But you forgot to use a troop emoji. Maybe exchange cats with :tiger: ?
