Not to down-talk the cheating problem which most certainly will have to be addressed, but this thread was actually started by someone who accuses people of cheating while his problem is that he doesn't know how the game or the allowed external tools work.
About the cheating problem itself.... It's very easy to implement some scripts and algorithms that identify cheaters. It's just a matter of whether the game owners actually want to stop them or not. I guess the cheaters probably use gold in all their multi accounts, so stopping them would be financial unsound to the owners, and therefore they won't implement anything.
seriously? long ago we stopped playing.
Imagine that the same people who play here bounced for tougher rules, but no case.
This is 20 years old, they don't even get more races when the gameplay is the most important thing. there they
try other games, there are many good ones, logically I can't talk about that here, but search, even for cell phones.
How do people cheat? I don't get it.
How do they get access to in game data?!
Here, have a read: https://wiki.binary-tools.de/wiki/Kingdoms_API/en
It's the (only) legal way to obtain ingame data automatically, and is used by almost all legal toolsites. You don't get much data from it, but it's enough to detect someone as inactive, if he didn't gain any more population within a few days.
Display MoreTokmak please, if you see any avatar you feel is cheating send a ticket to the Help Center asking them for investigation of that avatar.
It is the best way to have your concerns looked at.
In the forum there is little we can do regarding your comment.
But, may be what you wanted is to support something like this?
ThreadPlayers CharterHi All
I first played Travian in 2007. I've played a few servers, but not as many as most of you since I missed many years in between.
Cheating, Bots, Scripts and Multiaccounts is till ruining this great game, and with respect to the challenge that the game admins have in front of them Travian Games does not do enough to eliminate it. Technology wise, I can understand the complexity of the challenge.. combined with the scope for contractual disputes given some players pay money, I would say…
I advice you to give it a look, every little helps.
hey. i just recently got into a fierce fight about this topic. i dont really think that reporting this or that single player or a kingdom to the help center would solve this issue. each and every server is being bothered by this behavior. there is an issue, that is deeper than a single player level. this should be solved as a whole block. not only by reporting single events. i am pretty sure there are tools on how to track traffic, IPs, even web browsers being used to log in etc.. i dont believe TK dont have developers who would be able to track players/accounts misusing this game. its becoming unbearable.
...
this is a systematic gap, that needs to be solved.
Agreed.
We also need to start allowing people to post proof in the forums.
Accusations are one thing, proof is another.
Especially when we're talking about things that have happened.
We need to put names with events cause without names it means nothing.
Kingdoms who are known cheats need to be called out for it.
Players should start to know their names so we can rid ourselves of the stain they place on this community.
It is not enough to punish the people through bans. We need to make sure they won't be supported by other players.
If people want to play fair they need to know who doesn't play fair so they can avoid them.
Eventually the cheaters will be left alone to their servers and they can try to one-up each other in terms of cheating. The rest of the players will simply stay away from those people.
well come to Com2x3 and see the kingdom which most of you know how they abuse multi accounts to the point that they destroy your village and then they make a new account on the same place as your destroyed village and then when i report them and make a ticket they dont get ban ! how is a kingdom that is so bad can abuse multiaccounts to this point can someone on travian team explain to us how is this possible !
explain please
yeah. but calling names would only lead to them changing the kingdom names, playing under different nicks/avatars.
plus, i kind of gave up on reporting specific guys/behaviour/kingdom as it did not bring any reasonable result. guy got banned for 48h and then continued playing his 3 accounts again and played them until the server ended..
I dont believe they will change names anymore guys have no shame anymore but i am so impressed these guys are pros player they can even destroy you in 12 days just imagine how sick is this getting thanks to multis and even if i report the support team will ignore me for having facts i dont know for what reason they are not taking action
GJ

Okay so then they keep doing that.
Combine it with some prestige restrictions and we can at least avoid having those cheaters as duke/kings.
TK should provide in game benefits to prevent cheating, buy your victory not cheat your victory
Then the funds will be used to improve the game.
Cheating is rampant early on in the game when resources are precious, efforts should be placed here.
The menhir is a problem as they bring the farms right next to their villages, this is abuse in its purest form

but i mean, isnt this obvious? you see kingdom with 65+ players, like 85% have low or no prestige.. and then this kingdom has multiple wings. and yet there is not much they can do about it? i mean, come on. do we really believe all the players with no/low prestige just suddenly keep logging in when a new server opens? do we still believe, that although many of us already go to work and therefore have little less time to spend on TK, there are still heaps of players willing to join new and fresh almost every server?
maybe the developers should include statistics of what is the average prestige of the players, how many players are with which prestige etc. that could bring more light into this topic if its really not that obvious by now. or maybe add an overall prestige of this or that kingdom..
plus, another point. i play fair. i never used a single bot, script, multi. never. i spend money on gold. why should be i the one taking care of the smoothness of the game? just imagine buying a game, paying for a game on steam platform. should i be the one reporting that the game is working halfway? im very disappointed.

New people won't know that if we can't talk about it.
I am not saying this is a solution to the problem, but talking about it openly will make it easier to find a solution.

Agreed 100%.
Why can't we have DISCCUSION in general discussion threads about players who received a ban. Wether this is a temp ban or a permanent ban. Sure people are innocent until proven guilty, but we as a community should have the right to discuss what's going on. This would also give the accused a chance to show their side of the story if they are proven innocent.
yes. i think there should be some kind of public thread where the moderators/admins/developers/help center would also look into it.. with this topic or names or whatever.. otherwise (i have a feeling) they don't really care what is written in which thread
Idk why we as users need seek and report cheaters as only option those retards to be baned?is it so hard for admins to catch all those abusers?afcourse no!Abusers are mostly active first 2 weeks or so (in x3 servers). If admins start making checks every day there wont be any cheaters left after 2 servers. Is it so hard?As admin go to server X look at top 100-150 attackers/robbers/builders of the week and check them. It's job for like 2 hours or so for 1 person. And dont tell me it's impossible this way.Every expiriance player can spot good player and cheater and can identify when someone become farm and its just made to be farmed. So hard? But it need some work and they dont want to work....
I understand the feeling, I have the same one regarding cheating and in principle I totally agree with you.
In the past that could even have been consider and, who knows, may be even possible.
But now a days there are some things that have to be considered, including and most importantly the laws of the land. GDPR is now a days a group of laws, data protection laws, that have to be taken into account into almost everything we do.
Having the possibility to "name names" could be dangerous ground in that front. The laws are so restrictive that we could be in the line of the law allowing those things.
But for sure, as I have mentioned recently in Discord as well, it is something that I understand, once the menhir feature has been nerf, the main issue it seems to be the general concept that cheating has to be addressed, specially multiaccounts.
We will surely discuss it in the team.
