Robber camps spawn tiles.

This topic says that the more free tiles in kingdom, the more camps will spawn. This encourages player to play with less amount of servants but with more npc. Are they so important?

If in every tile would spawn camps that would be better because many guys get those resources and build army fast.

But every camp seems need couple free tiles to spawn.
This means that 1 camp means -4 or -5 villages that produce resources on its own and build army. King tributes resources and treasuries from hideout from those villages.

This way camps give much resources for small amount of players. Or small resources for big amount of players.
Camps are handicap for small kingdoms?

  • In most big teams each king/duke will mark 3-5 fields where people are not allowed to settle. Because robbers can't spawn on 4446, 9cropper, 15 cropper fields it's always the unbalanced fields. 3546, 4536 etc. If each Duke / King does this there should always be place for robber camps to spawn.

Robber camps are a great feature, but very poorly thought through. They have it in the planning to talk about putting it on the planning for the next meeting about what plans they want to plan.

    At start no free space.

Any decent king / duke will get to pop 100 and 250 fairly fast.

If your kingdom has no free spots from all the menihr players with 1 king and 2 dukes with each boundaries of 250 pop can't really complain about that in the first 2 days. But yeah, like I said, the whole camp system is build on broken logic.
