Recently I discovered that a demolished trapper still functions as an active trapper.
The village below has no active trapper anymore....
There are some additional conditions for this to happen, which I won't disclose here. Developers can contact me for details.
Can any one re confirm if this is working now ?
Well I guess the old 
to level up trapper to 20 -> make traps -> make more trappers -> more traps
and then demolish is back eh 
That should only happen if there are trappers in the village.
Please report it to the help center for them to have a look at.
