Update to punishments for rule violations


    So you are telling me, you couldnt just slap a line in the general terms and conditions, that nobody would ever reads anyways, Which states that one`s data protection rights for account information in case of TOS violation are waived. Mhm.


    Aside from that, what a freaking empty announcement. I never expect much from you, yet you keep going below that level.


    Here`s suggestions for content that would make us believe a single word you are saying:

    - without doing case studies of real people, outline what kind of behavior has been (recently) observed and punished. Just give us any freaking stats, make up the numbers to not show real data for all that i care.

    - explain the basic levels of punishment that occur. What is the slap on the wrist version, what is the banhammer version. I strictly disagree on your point of "not making things easier for cheaters" - if you let them know what degrees of punishment theyll face, they will be DIS- not EN-couraged. That is assuming the punishments are serious in nature, such as previously discussed in this thread (delete army&queues being a major point). TLDR: Name what rulebreaking accounts will get as punishment, show us that you are serious with this "announcement".

    - emphasis on another mentioned point in here, Make it dead serious if somebody cheated. Any ban period they experience should be clearly visible on the map, or possibly even in its own tab in statistics overview. If someone cheats to get an unfair advantage, the account should be flagged, so that Kingdoms know not to recruit that person etc.

    I believe that this announcement is anyway a first step in the right direction, it is of course not the perfection but the perfection is difficult to reach cause there is also the rights of players, something that we could call the bénéfit of doubt.


    Of course we are all very tired of seeing old kingdoms cheating every single servers without reals consequences, this is a fact.


    We all know what they are doing, we know where they go, when they will do and they even tell it in public, if you know read between lines .


    In sum, I am positively surprised that something is moving in the right direction, let see if it will works but in any cases we have to never stop the war against the cheating because we are way more numerous fair players than cheaters, even if this minority is indeed the reason of our anger against the game and the staff.

    A nice touch would be making cheaters clearly visible on map with extra symbol on village as a sort of wall of shame so everyone in the gameround can see who they are playing with. Also create annoyance to the multi-abusers by removing colors from their village view and let them continue only on grayscale after getting caught on a round.

    Yes, it is exactely what they are meaning, they will be punished harsher.

    You will be still able to see who is punished if they are banned, but not what will be their punishment, I don't know what is difficult to understand in this sentence ...

    Personally I think it's great & thank all those that have helped bring this to fruition. :)


    Unknown mentioned that it is fluid & maybe that does mean a layered punishment system, i.e. the bigger the crime the higher the punishment

    Time will tell if it's enough, if it's not they can keep increasing the punishments until it is.


    I also agree that it's better if we don't know what they have in their arsenal, "us" as legit players will never be affected by this, but those who choose to abuse features & exploits will not be able to plan around the punishments until they are caught abusing something.

    To be very clear, in case it wasnt obvious enough before. What i suggested is draft up a legally acceptable line in the terms of service to allow for exposing cheaters. Im no lawyer, but that is definitely a possibility. If you sign the TOS which everyone does in order to play, you agree to being exposed for cheating. Simple as that.

    The laws are made by the Europa service.
    In fact it is not as simple as that, maybe in your bedroom but not in the real world ;)

    You register on the website and you pay, you must do it for the consumer protection.
    In fact, and you will notice that the entire world has been made like that, you have to pay in order to gain money, you also have to follow rules, here called laws.

    If you had, you would know that TK can in fact adjust their terms of service and still be in compliance with the law.

    You know that I didn't I hope ^^

    Maybe they could, doesn't mean they would.
    Asking will still give the same answer but you can loose your time doing it.


    The fact is simple, for me at least, complaining always about every actions and every moves they make, won't give anything positive, you have to understand it otherwise you have no chances to be satisfied.


    Just enjoy that they are working on it finally, we don't know what will happen and how, but if your desire to have intel about it is too huge that you cannot accept to ignore I don't know what to tell.

    We have to follow their rules anyway it is the problem's core actually ^^

    Y'all might found the abstract that is only 88 pages.

    the one I have, from the GDPR page, is 102 pages excluding the index and cover.
