Well, here I am giving advice again. For those who don't know me, I am a grumpy old man who played the alpha as governor, the closed beta as king and the FIS as governor. I speak my mind after careful thought (and sometimes in response to what I consider provocation, without thinking at all - but that is another story).
My name is Dan, and I am happy to try and help, whether team mate or enemy. Here is my first advice for all players on com2.
There are far too many kings and far too few governors. Being a king does not make you royalty, and being governor does not make you less than a king. It takes both, and all members of a kingdom should feel like they are equal members of a team, with the king taking a leadership role.
Governors can grow faster, develop troops faster (with resources and stolen goods from robber hideouts, which kings do not get), can certainly upgrade heroes faster with xp from robber hideouts, and are free to cluster villages if they choose.
Kings do collect tributes (generated by the game), but the amount is dependent on the number of villages inside the kingdom and the production and storage of resources in those villages. Kings have to settle scattered out in order to expand influence and keep their governors' villages within the borders.
Currently, 61% of those registered are governors and 38% are kings. That is an average of 1.6 governors per kingdom. The #1 kingdom has 8 governors, so you can see there is a definite shortage of governors.
I advise all who are not playing dual accounts or active many hours multiple times per day to abdicate and play this server as governor - trust me, you will be thankful you did. Merge as many kingdoms as possible, and try for a minimum of 10 governors per kingdom.
